Baer Miriam Haskama
To Whom It May Concern:
As one of the Rabbis at Baer Miriam Seminary I have come to know Tamar both in the classroom setting as well as on an individual level, and it is within both these realms that she achieves highly. During the class Tamar conveys a strong sense of understanding of the material through her class participation and also brings with her a cheerful energy as well. However it is not only during her classes that she displays the behavior of an exemplary student, rather it is also enhanced by her punctuality and consistent attendance of the classes. Students of the seminary are expected to demonstrate a high level of independence in learning, specifically textual learning such as Chumash preparation. Tamar does indeed demonstrate the necessary skills required to place her within the advanced Chumash group. As every week goes by I notice the constant development of her translation skills and general understanding in this area. In addition, Tamar has continued to develop her Ivrit skills at the school and seeks out further challenging and creative means by which she can improve even further. Tamar is a very strong student, yet it is not only owed to the academic arena, rather it is also evident within her personal growth. She exhibits a strong sense of sincerity in her quest to consolidate her already solid Jewish identity. Through questions and contemplation, introspection and conversation, she seeks to achieve the goal of strengthening and deepening her Jewish commitment. Tamar has developed positive relationships with staff as well as her peers and constantly adds to the environment with her sincerity, devotion, cheerfulness, positivity and evident spiritual and academic growth.
We all look forward to witnessing Tamar’s wonderful growth as it continues to go from strength to strength.
Yours Sincerely,
Rafael Salber
